The Armed Scout will be capable of meeting the U.S. Army’s demanding high altitude/high temperature mission profiles — for both current and future armed aerial scout operations, and in the most challenging combat environments.

EADS North America’s Armed Scout will provide powerful twin-engine performance and survivability, particularly in the high/hot operating environments called for by today’s Army requirements.

Based on the EC145 commercial airframe, the Armed Scout 645 will provide commonality with the highly successful UH-72A Lakota Light Utility Helicopter - which has demonstrated its mission performance and operations with more than 10,000 flight-hours in Army service.

Highly deployable, the Armed Scout 645’s small footprint allows for transport by C-17 aircraft with minimum reconfiguration upon arrival in the operating area. In addition, the helicopter’s large, unobstructed main cabin is easily reconfigurable – resulting in maximum flexibility.

The modular weapons systems architecture and modern design of EADS North America’s Armed Scout 645 ensure low lifecycle costs, maintainability and maximum operational reliability – resulting in high operational readiness rates to meet the Army’s evolving mission scenarios.
